Osun LG Polls: Bukoy Congratulates Chairmen, Councillors within Osogbo Fed. Constituency over Victories

Member, House of Representatives, Irepodun/Olorunda/Orolu/Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo (Bukoy), has congratulated the Chairmen and Councillors within the Constituency on their victories in last weekend’s local government election in Osun State.



In a statement on Monday by his Media Office in Osogbo, Hon. Oyewo said: “We celebrate yet another significant points in the political advancement of our great party, APC. It’s indeed victory earned and well deserved


“No better way to express and restate the strategic, relentless and undaunted drive of the party and its given template, which continues to build the party’s desirable large empire.


“Another big history, landslide win and party success recorded at our polls, both with our Constituency and the entire State.


 “I am particularly impressed with the orderly manner with which voters and OSSIEC officials as well as the people of the state conducted themselves throughout the process.”


The lawmaker added that, “While I felicitate with you, I want to urge you all to see the mandates freely given to you by the electorate as a call to serve, and do your best to justify the confidence reposed in you.”


Hon. Oyewo who described the local government as a critical tier, urged the newly elected LGA and LCDA helmsmen to live above board and provide viable leadership that will impact positively on the lives of people at the grassroots in line with the vision and ideals of the APC and the present administration in the state and Country.


Noting that it was with joy and fulfillment that he and the entire people of the Federal Constituency share in this success. Hon. Oyewo thanked the party leadership for the “ever unrelenting strength, support, proper discharge of efforts and push at all times.”


The lawmaker also commended the party members and chieftains for what he described as “unbridled loyalty and formidable tradition that’s geared towards common good and prosperity.”

Agric Sector Receives Boost as Rep. Oyewo Sponsors Oil Palm Training for Several Constituents

Lawmaker representing Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, has once again empowered several individuals in his domain with agricultural training and inputs.



This latest intervention of Rep Oyewo was done through a training course in Oil Palm Farming and Production put together in partnership with Federal Co-operative College, Ibadan. 


The programme, which was held from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th of October in Osogbo and Orolu area of Osun State, was attended by a good number of youths and women taken from all political wards of the Constituency. Beneficiaries were trained on modern methods and techniques of oil palm farming, production and processing.


A technical partner and instructor at the five-day session, Dr John Ayinla, told participants that oil palm production has become a very lucrative business in Nigeria and across the world. Dr Ayinla noted that in addition to high demand of oil palm for preparing meals, around seventy percent of personal care products including soap, shampoo, makeup, and lotion, contain ingredients derived from palm oil. 


At the end of the event, participants were provided with starter packs such as oil palm seedlings, cash and training manuals as a guide.


High-capacity kernel processing machines were also installed at oil palm production centers across Osogbo Federal Constituency.


In a press statement issued by his media and publicity team on Friday, Rep Olubukola Oyewo revealed that the scheme was initiated as a part of efforts to ensure food security, alleviate poverty and boost job creation in Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun and Orolu.


According to the legislator, "I remain committed towards providing opportunities and programs geared towards improving the wellbeing and welfare of my constituents".


“I believe in sustainable empowerment schemes rather than temporary and momentary intervention programs. This is a major reason why we have selected productive and lucrative ventures to empower the teeming unemployed individuals in Osogbo Federal Constituency, ” he said.


A beneficiary from Olorunda area, Musibau Layi, expressed delight and appreciation over the gesture of the APC chieftain, describing the training he received as a worthwhile and life-changing experience.


Second phase of the empowerment exercise is scheduled to take place later in the month of October.

Oyewo Congratulates Asiwaju over APC Presidential Ticket, Reinstate Continuous Support

A federal legislator from Osun State, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo (Bukoy), has congratulated the National Leader of All Progressives Congress(APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over his victory at the party's presidential primary election held in Abuja on Tuesday and Wednesday.



The former governor of Lagos State emerged as the presidential candidate of the ruling party for the 2023 general election, after winning by a landslide.


Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, who represents Oṣogbo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, assured that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has all it takes to lead Nigeria and its citizens to prosperity and greatness.


The federal lawmaker, in a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Oṣogbo, stated that Tinubu has the capacity and passion to make Nigeria a better nation.


"Permit me to use this auspicious occasion to congratulate our political mentor and father, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the just concluded APC presidential primary election. This is certainly a well-deserved victory. I wish our National Leader and our great party success in the coming general election," Hon. Oyewo noted.


In addition, Rep Oyewo charged all APC members across Nigeria to remain united and focused as the party marches to victory in 2023.

Democracy Day: Bukoy Congratulate Constituents, Urges them on more Patriotism

The lawmaker representing Oṣogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency at the House of Representativess, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo (Bukoy) has congratulated his constituents in particular and Nigerians in general as the country marks the 2022 June 12 Democracy Day event.



Hon. Oyewo, in a congratulatory message issued by his media team in Oṣogbo on Sunday, noted that the modest advancement made so far in the country's quest for greatness, is a clear indication that the labor of heroes past is not in vain. 


The federal legislator leveraged the auspicious occasion to urge all residents of Osun to support the second term ambition of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to enable him consolidate on the democratic gains achieved since the commencement of his administration.


Hon. Oyewo also tasked stakeholders across Oṣogbo Federal Constituency to rededicate themselves to the quest for a more developed, prosperous and harmonious society.


According to him, “It takes commitment, dedication, sacrifice and noble intentions to attain a greater Oṣogbo Federal Constituency. I firmly believe that with God on our side, we will definitely achieve this all-important goal."


The Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Water Resources appealed to citizens to complement the efforts of governments at all levels to bring the dividends of democracy to their doorsteps.


“As we mark this year’s Democracy Day on June 12, I urge all citizens to rededicate themselves and continue to support government's strides geared towards positioning the country for greatness. It is only then that the sacrifices made by our heroes past will be worth it” he declared.

Eid-l-Kabir: Bukoy Felicitates with Muslims, Charges them to Embrace Peace, Unity

Member representing Oṣogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, has enjoined Muslim faithful to demonstrate the virtue of selfless sacrifice as they celebrate this year's Eid-el-Kabir festival.



In a statement issued in Oṣogbo yesterday by Rep Oyewo's media and publicity team, the lawmaker said: "While I join my Muslim brothers and sisters to celebrate this holy day, I urge you all to reflect on the essence of the festival. Eid-el-Kabir presents an opportunity for us to ponder over the faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, who willingly agreed to sacrifice his cherished son in obedience to the command of Allah."


The federal parliamentarian called on Nigerians to eschew all forms of recrimination and imbibe self-sacrifice, forgiveness and other higher virtues that promote national unity and development.


Rep. Olubukola Oyewo further charged all Muslims across his domain to pray for a peaceful, violence-free and successful 2022 Osun gubernatorial election. According to him, “In the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir celebration, I enjoin our Muslim brothers and sisters to pray for a hitch-free Osun governorship poll”. 


Oyewo, while seeking the people's continued support for his political party, APC and its candidate in the July 16 governorship election, urged residents to complement Governor Oyetola's efforts in building a greater Osun that will work for all through the developmental agenda of his administration.

St. Charles Grammar School Alumni Immortalizes Rep Oyewo Over Contributions To Alma Mater, Names Classroom Block After the Lawmaker

In recognition of his support for a wide range of charitable causes, achievements and efforts, especially those related to improving quality of education across his domain, the old students of Saint Charles Grammar School in Oṣogbo have named a recently completed classroom block in their alma mater after Rep Olubukola Oyewo.



Renowned for his commitment towards enhancing the state of infrastructure in public schools within his territory, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, who represents Oṣogbo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, was accorded this recognition by Saint Charles Old Boys Association (SCOBA) for facilitating the construction of the building named after him.


Rep. Oyewo, who is also an ex-student of Saint Charles, has for several years now contributed immensely towards the advancement of the foremost citadel of learning.


In a letter addressed to the parliamentarian on 30th May 2022 and jointly signed by the President and General Secretary of SCOBA, the association stated that, "It is indeed our privilege to inform you that the building will on Friday, June 3, 2022- our Founders' Day, be named in your honor as 'Charlean(Hon) Bukola Oyewo Block', as a token of our Association's appreciation of your good deeds".


Reacting to the gesture, Hon. Oyewo  expressed his appreciation to SCOBA for bestowing him with this honor on account of his achievements in the education sector.


In a statement issued by the lawmaker's Media and Communication Office, Rep Oyewo noted that this action of the alumni is not only encouraging, but also heartwarming.


The federal legislator leveraged the moment to clear the air on a recent allegation claiming that he superintended over the construction of a substandard six-classroom block in his alma mater. 


According to him, “I only attracted the project to my Constituency. Lawmaker's do not award nor execute constituency projects. If there are any observations regarding the construction work, the federal government agency empowered by law to implement and supervise the project, as well as the contractor who executed the job, are in the best position to make clarifications," the lawmaker noted.


The APC chieftain concluded his statement by assuring concerned constituents that all issues relating to the newly constructed classroom block at Saint Charles are currently being addressed, as the government agency and contractor involved in the implementation of the project have been contacted by his office.

Bukoy Canvasses Support for Oyetola Re-election, Take Campaign to Orolu, Irepodun Leaders

As the clock ticks towards the Osun governorship election day slated for July 16, the lawmaker representing Oṣogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, has visited major stakeholders in his territory to canvass support for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.



The Osun federal parliamentarian, who was accompanied by his aides and supporters, met with traditional rulers, political leaders and front-line members of sociocultural groups in Orolu and Irepodun as part of efforts to ensure Governor Oyetola emerges victorious in the forthcoming poll. The tour took place on Friday, June 24, 2022.


Among notable groups and individuals visited by Rep Oyewo included the Orolu-In-Council, Ifon Progressive Union among others.


The lawmaker and his entourage were warmly welcomed by members of the Orolu-In-Council led by High Chief Tunde Oyetunji, who is the Eesa of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom.


While addressing traditional leaders and influential personalities present at the gathering, Rep Olubukola Oyewo emphasized that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has performed creditably well and therefore deserves another term in office. He called on all eligible voters in Ifon, Erin, Ilobu and environs to come out en-mass on the election day to support the All Progressives Congress (APC)and its candidate. 


"Permit me to use this auspicious occasion to seek your support for my political party, APC and its candidate, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola in the July 16 gubernatorial election. I implore all distinguished personalities present here today to work for the success of our performing Governor. The people of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom have a lot to benefit when the governor is eventually returned to serve for another four years, " Hon. Olubukola Oyewo assured.


The Ifon-born politician further noted that Oyetola's scorecard in his first term in office, especially in the area of governance, infrastructure development, poverty alleviation, welfare of civil servants and pensioners, poverty alleviation, health care and lots more has further demonstrated that he is committed to delivering his campaign promises.


Speaking during the event, High Chief Tunde Oyetunji thanked the lawmaker for deeming it fit to consult leaders of the town over the coming gubernatorial poll. The Eesa of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom charged all inhabitants of the area to ensure the forthcoming election exercise is a peaceful and violence-free one. He appreciated the effort of Governor Oyetola, Rep Oyewo and other political office holders in bringing development to Osun.


Despite heavy downpour, the legislator covered several neighborhoods in Orolu and Irepodun to reach out to influential persons and drum support for the actualization of Governor Oyetola's second term bid.
