"It's a Personal Painful Loss", Oyewo Mourns Olufon

 Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has commiserated with the entire sons and daughters of Ifon-Orolu over the death of His Royal Majesty, Oba Al-Maruf Adekunle Magbagbeola, the Olufon of Ifon-Orolu Kingdom, who recently joined his ancestors.


In his condolence message released on Tuesday, Oyewo described the Olufon’s demise as a ‘painful personal loss’ owing to his association with the late monarch and the giant strides they both worked towards.



Recalling his association with the late Olufon, the lawmaker described him as a committed monarch who deeply loved Ifon-Orolu and continuously advocated for his people.


He said, "I commiserate with the late monarch’s family, sons and daughters of Ifon-Orolu, the Osun State Traditional Council, and the State Government of Osun over the “big loss” of a respected and admired traditional leader’. 


"I pray to Allah to forgive the late Oba Magbagbeola’s earthly infractions, grant him Aljanah Firdaus and uphold the entire Community to cope with this great tragedy."

Ramadan 2021: Oyewo felicitates with Muslim Faithfuls as Holy Month Begins

 


The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has felicitated with the entire Muslim community, particularly in Irepodun/Olorunda/ Orolu/ Osogbo Federal Constituency as they join other faithfuls across the world to commence Ramadan – the holy month of fasting and prayer.


The lawmaker implores Muslims to seek maximum benefits from the Ramadan period by replicating the teachings of the Holy Prophet in all their engagements; private and public.


Hon. Oyewo appealed to Nigerians especially Muslims while speaking to newsmen in Osogbo, to use the period of Ramadan to reflect on our national challenges and join forces with the President Buhari's administration to overcome them.


Being a period of spiritual perseverance, temperance, introspection and retrospection with the Almighty Allah, the lawmaker urges Muslims to use the Ramadan to renew their commitments to the virtues of love and peace taught by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and also work towards achieving them.


While calling on Nigerians, especially the people of Osun State to continue to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and the nation in general. He urges Muslim faithfuls to also remember the less privileged in the society during the special period and wishes all Muslims a blessed Ramadan.

Bukoy Commiserates With Former Osun Speaker, Najeem Salam Over Wife’s Death


Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has expressed his condolences to the former Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr Najeem Folasayo Salam over the death of his wife Mrs Adebimpe Salam.


In a condolence message, the lawmaker implored Dr Salam to take heart, praying to God to give the family the fortitude to bear the loss.



The message reads: “I commiserate with you, the entire Salam family, friends, and sympathisers on the death of your dear wife. I understand that her death is a great, sad and painful loss to all and sundry. May Allah console you and all the ones she left behind. My thoughts are with the family. God gives and takes when He wills. May her soul rest in peace.


“Painful as this death is to you and other sympathisers, I urge you not to be discouraged by the sad realities of her exit, but to be rather consoled by her admirable legacy of service and faith.


“This is a shared moment of sobriety and hurt of the immeasurable magnitude of our collective emotions. Our hearts and prayers as well as thoughts are with you and your family.


He prayed to God to grant the former Speaker and his family the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

Emulate the Teachings of Christ, Preach Peace,- Oyewo urges Christians on Easter

 


The lawmaker representing Irepodun/ Ọlọruuda/Orolu/ Osogbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has urged Christians to use Easter period for sober reflection on the virtues of love, selflessness, forgiveness, sacrifice and perseverance as examplified by Jesus Christ which he said are the hallmarks of Easter celebration.


In an Easter message through his Media office, the lawmaker urged Christians to take advantage of the period and pray for God’s intervention amidst security challenges bedevilling the nation.


According to him, the feast of Easter is a yearly solemn celebration for Christians, it is the foundation of Christianity, characterized by the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ for accepting to die on the cross for the sake of mankind.


“His resurrection on the third day, gives hope of life hereafter to Christan faithful.


“There is no doubt that these are tough times in our country. Insecurity in almost every part of the country"


However, he said rather than succumb to the wishes of the evil doers and feel threatened about these uncertain times, Nigerians must rise to the fact that these are trials, and resolve to collectively confront the challenges.


“This moment calls for sober reflection and not fanfare, hence, I enjoin Christians to remain steadfast and fervent in prayers, for God to bring peace back to our land so that issues of banditry, terrorism, kidnapping and all forms of insecurity will come to an end”, he said.


Oyewo wished the Christian faithful a successful and hitch free celebration while urging them to be security conscious and law abiding. 


The lawmaker, thanked his Constituents for their sustained support, despite the difficulties in the Nation’s economy occasioned by covid-19. He assured that as their Representative, he will continue to justify the mandate given to him.

Oyewo congratulates Osun First Lady, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola at 61

Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has congratulated the Osun First Lady, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola on her 61st birthday celebration.


Oyewo, in a statement released by his Media Office, on Friday, described the First Lady as a courageous and amiable woman, kindhearted and strong pillar of support for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.


He described the First Lady as a development enthusiast and astute trainer, who keeps on touching the lives of millions of Osun residents.



”On behalf of the good people of Irepodun/ Olorunda/ Orolu/ Osogbo Federal Constituency and my adorable wife, Mrs. Foluke Oyewo, I heartily congratulate the Osun State First Lady, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola, on the occasion of her 61st birthday celebration.

”Over the years, you have shown your passion for the needy in our State and country and as a women’s rights activist and child rights advocate. You are a major campaigner for women empowerment.
