2021: Bukoy Felicitates with Osun Residents, Calls For Renewed Hope


The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has expressed hope that 2021 will be a better year for Nigeria.


In his new year message signed by his media office, the lawmaker urged his constituents to remain thankful to God for preserving them and the state in peace despite the myriads of challenges that were experienced last year.



He said the challenges any country faces can be surmounted through a collective effort.


Hon. Oyewo said: “The last year was eventful for our democracy, our economy, our health and all facets of our National Life.Thus, I felicitate with the constituents of Osogbo Federal Constituency, Osun residents and all Nigerians on witnessing the first day of the year 2021.


“Beyond the start of a New Year, it is a chance to make profound changes. This New Year is pregnant with possibilities, and if maximised, is a New Dawn for us as individuals and collectively as a nation.


“We must go into the New Year with a new perspective to life in general and the issues that concern Nigeria in particular.


“Also, we must exhibit a renewed patriotism and commitment to seeing Nigeria thrive and prosper.


“We must also commit to sanitising the image of Nigeria and Nigerians in the Committee of nations by ensuring that each of us is doing everything to project the right image of us as a nation.


“Beyond these, we must set our hands on the plough, as opposed to merely talking. We must, as J.F Kennedy succinctly put it, ask what we can do for Nigeria and do it.”


"I wish you all a fabulous and blissful new year", he concluded.

YULETIDE: OYEWO CELEBRATES WITH CHRISTIAN FAITHFULS

 

The Member Represhenting Irepodun/Olorunda/Orolu/Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has felicitated with the Christian faithfuls across the globe on the celebration of the birth of of Jesus Christ.


In a press release by his media office on Thursday, the lawmaker used the special occasion which commemorates the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ to urge Christians to show care, love and kindness to one another.



He equally encouraged them to use this occasion of the season to pray for the country to put an everlasting end to the deadly pandemic threatening the country including the economic and security challenges accompanying it  in the country.


The lawmaker added, "But notwithstanding, the hard time will soon be a thing of the past and we shall have a reason to celebrate.


While congratulating the Executive Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, his Deputy, Mr. Benedict Alabi and Members of their cabinet on the special occasion of this year's Christmas, he also rejoiced with his Constituents for witnessing yet another celebration in peace and prayed for a prosperous new year.


He urged the Christian faithful to celebrate this season in peace and avoid anything that may cause racour in their various communities.

Oyewo Empowers Constituents, Distribute Various Equipments



Constituents from Irepodun/Olorunda/Irepodun/Osogbo Federal Constituency have benefited from the multimillion-naira empowerment programme facilitated by Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, a member of the Federal House of Representatives.

The All Progressives Congress lawmaker distributed empowerment items, including Generators, Grinding Machine, Sewing Machine and Hairdressing equipments  to alleviate poverty in his constituency on Thursday.
 
So far, over 5,000 constituents from the Constituency have benefitted from the numerous multimillion-naira empowerment programmes sponsored by the Osogbo Federal Constituency representative in the Green chamber.

Speaking after the empowerment programme, Oyewo explained that the items given were based on the identified need gaps within his constituency in a bid to create wealth.

He said empowering his constituents and people generally gives him joy, especially as he has enjoyed unflinching support from them throughout his political sojourn. 

According to him, the empowerment programme rounds off his 3-days Empowerment training programme.
 
The lawmaker said the empowerment programme is a fall out of his long-time search to alleviate poverty in his constituency, adding that the end result of coronavirus requires constant attention of lawmakers in their constituencies.

Oyewo, who is the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources, reiterated that as a representative of the people, he will not rest on her oars in providing solutions to the needs of his constituency through his constituency office.

He said: “The beneficiaries of the empowerment programme today were carefully selected from all the wards and we would ensure we reach out to as many as we can.”

Some of the beneficiaries who reacted thanked the lawmaker for the gesture and promised their unalloyed support.

He called on all beneficiaries to follow the spirit of becoming fishermen, and also promised to continue with his commitment to his constituents and provide more social amenities such as accessible rural roads, rural water, electrification projects, public sanitation and others.

Rep Member, Oyewo Set to Empower Constituents

 

In fulfillment of his electoral promises to his constituents, the APC lawmaker representing Irepodun/ Olorunda/ Orolu/ Osogbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo (Bukoy) will on Tuesday 1st December 2020, commence a 3-day multifaceted empowerment Program in the constituency.



Sequel to the statement released to newsmen by his media office, the exercise, which includes strategic training/empowerment and distribution of starter- pack to trained participants with it's beneficiaries drawn from communities across the federal constituency will commence at Osogbo Town Hall, Olonkoro, Osogbo. Hence the training begin by 9.00am on Tuesday.


While the presentation of Starter-pack will hold on Wednesday 2nd of December. Distribution of various empowerment materials to constituents will be held on Thursday, 3rd December 2020. 


Dignitaries expected at the Wednesday and Thursday events includes  Royal fathers, Community leaders, Political leaders Religious leader and Party leaders.
